Tunze Turbelle Nano Stream 6075 Wave Pump
Veteran wave pump manufacturer Tunze has launched a new Turbelle Nano Stream pump called the 6075. With a new cage, propellor, and the new controller the 6075 looks modern and fit for reefing in 2025, but with a steel/titanium impeller shaft, super low running costs, and a five-year warranty, this wave maker should be the only pump you buy for some time, for small and medium-sized reef aquariums.
Adjustable from 2700lph to 7500lph, the 6075 produces that for just 1-8 watts, meaning its running costs will be near zero (compared to other equipment,) and it calculates at a maximum of 937lph per watt on energy used. That’s nearly 1000lph per watt!
The new style Tunze Controller 7020 allows for manual and cloud control with every feature you would want from a wave pump, and the magnets allow for clamping onto aquarium glass up to 15mm thick.
The 6075 is rated for reef aquaria up to 500 litres, although you would need a minimum of two in a mixed reef tank of that size.
At £274.90 it’s not cheap, but it’s designed and made by Tunze in Bavaria, Germany, and with the low running costs, durable impeller shaft, and a five-year warranty, the nearly £300 price tag comes with several reassurances.
I’m glad to see Tunze playing to their strengths, and still flying the German flag of quality in the wave pump market.
