Bubble Magus DW13000 is a Compact Crossflow Wave Pump

Bubble Magus has launched a new crossflow wave pump for reef tanks called the DW13000.

The twin outlet pump is just 136mm (5.4”) long, yet it has a maximum output of 13,000lph delivered by 180-degree rotating outlets, so you could have one side pointing up, and the other pointing down.

Inside are two short rotors on a shared impeller shaft and magnet, with the unit capable of clamping to glass up to 15mm thick.

The wired controller looks to have 10 power increments with four wave modes – constant, short, long and random, and a power draw of 12-48 watts.

We like the novel design and look of it, although with Maxspect holding the patent on crossflow technology, we may never see it over here in the UK.

Going by looks alone, we also assume the flow pattern to be more like two small centrifugal wave pumps, versus the broad sheet of water ejected by true Gyres.

We found it on AliExpress with a pricetag of £116.59, including VAT, and a UK plug.
