Vecton TitanUV 275 is a 200 model with Titanium Treatment

Tropical Marine Centre has released two new models of Ultraviolet Sterilisers.

The Vecton 200 has already existed before, both as the Vecton and V2 Vecton, coming fitted with an 8-watt germicidal lamp and being suitable for aquariums up to 200 litres. It has a maximum suggested flow rate of 680lph and a price tag of £99.99.

The Vecton TitanUV 275 takes that familiar Vecton form factor and boosts it by way of a photocatalytic lining inside, which TMC says makes it 1.3 times more effective than a standard UV.

Same 8W G8T5 bulb as the 200 model, but the increased performance means it is rated for aquariums up to 275 litres total volume, and has a maximum recommended flow rate of 825 litres per hour.

Both models come with opposing inlets and outlets, four-stage hosetails for flexible hose from ½” to 1¼” and a three-year warranty.

The TitanUV 275 has a purple translucent polycarbonate outer shell, versus the TMC blue of the 200 model and is priced at £119.99.

Who doesn’t want increased UV performance?
