Aquaforest extends olive branch to Reef Factory ICP users
Aquaforest has offered to take on and test any unused consumer ICP test from its now bankrupt Polish counterpart, Reef Factory.
If you bought a Reef Factory ICP test before the 19th of May, you can send it to Aquaforest (along with proof of purchase), they will register you on their ICP lab and test the water for you, free of charge, but not including postage.
This kind gesture from Aquaforest may help some British reefers who purchased Reef Factory ICP tests on or before that date, and of course, it will work for Aquaforest if they gain some new customers, too.
Sadly, the offer is not open to British retailers, and they have the majority of stock of Reef Factory ICP tests that are now not saleable or even usable in-house for testing their own systems.
Aquaforest is a natural fit to take on Reef Factory ICP tests, and maybe even other items in the Reef Factory portfolio, and we are sure that the company’s Managing Directors already knew each other and would have had conversations over Reef Factory’s future.
As Reef Factory Reef Flare Pro users ourselves, although app and software support has already been promised, we would feel way less anxious if a former rival company took on supply, distribution and support of the former marine tech company, or even if a large, wealthy freshwater company bought the whole lot outright as part of a rapid saltwater market expansion plan.
If you have a Reef Factory ICP test and proof of purchase in your possession, instructions on what to do are below. Requests need to be in to Aquaforest by June 30th 2025:
Here’s how to use your test through Aquaforest:
1. Send an email to info@aquaforest.eu with:
– A photo of your receipt (dated no later than May 19, 2025)
– A photo of your ICP Reef Factory test kit, showing the sample code
2. Once we confirm your details, we’ll send you:
– A free code to use in our lab
– Simple instructions on how to prepare your sample
3. You’ll be able to check your results on the Aquaforest Lab platform.
A few things to remember:
– You need to send your request by June 30, 2025
– Once you get the code, it doesn’t expire — use it whenever you’re ready
– This offer is only for hobbyists, not for commercial users
