Vivarium Show Breaks Previous Visitor Record
The Dutch aquarium, terrarium, and paludarium show Vivarium has broken its previous visitor number record. With 12,149 visitors, Vivarium & MACE (Marine Aquarium Conference of Europe) has slightly exceeded the previous record from 2023.
“We thank all our visitors, including those who call themselves “Vivarium fans”, for their continued support and for visiting us,” Vivarium stated on their Facebook page. “One can only hope you had as much of a good time as our partners, exhibitors, and ourselves had. But from the many smiling faces we saw over the weekend, we are confident most of you enjoyed yourselves!”
MACE
Vivarium is home to the Marine Aquarium Conference of Europe, which featured two halls this year, brimming with manufacturers, distributors, and coral vendors. It ties in perfectly with the freshwater side in the main hall, allowing ticket holders to roam freely from freshwater to saltwater and experience everything that the reefkeeping hobby has to offer. Some fifty saltwater brands exhibited at MACE, including TMC, Abyzz, DeJong, ITC, Aqua Medic, Aquaforest, Giesemann, Sicce, and Reef Factory. There were also talks from Julian Sprung, Joe Yaiullo, Hans-Werner Balling, and more.
British Visitors
As well as British brands such as ITC, D-D, Vitalis, and TMC, several British visitors attended, including Advanced Aquarium Consultancy, Aquarium Composition, and Reefkeeping News. AAC’s Paul Hughes describes Vivarium and MACE as his favourite marine show, having also visited Reef-A-Palooza in America. For Brits, Holland offers the chance to visit high-quality Dutch aquarium stores and trade-only establishments like DeJong Marine Life. If you keep marines or run a reef store, don’t forget your passport!
The 14,000 square metre Vivarium Show comes highly recommended.
