Visit the MACE Dutch Marine Show this November
MACE is the marine section of the world’s largest aquatic and reptile show, which will be held in Rosmalen on November 23rd and 24th, 2024. The main show is called Vivarium, and it boasts 200 exhibitors across 13,000 square meters of floor space. That’s nearly the size of two football pitches, it attracts some 12,000 visitors, this year I’ll be one of them, and I can’t wait.
Visitors
A small number of Brits travel to the show along with some big names in the marine world and some big companies like TMC. Vivarium says: “Exhibitors from all over the world are present to offer products and many beautiful corals. With unique pieces that are often not found in stores for consumers. With their own marine presentations, visitors can also learn all the tricks from the most experienced experts.”
Expectations
I’m expecting to see fish and corals and to meet up with some of my friends from over seas, but for me, and shows like this, it’s the displays that get me going and I find them truly inspirational. There’s something about the European reefing brands and their serious approach to equipment and the hobby that just makes us want to copy them and set up a reef tank like they do.
I’ll be coming back with product shots, videos, and lots of things to write and talk about. And that’s just on the marine side. If you’re into freshwater and terrariums there’s an even bigger portion of the show dedicated to them.
Find out more here, and maybe I’ll see you there.
